Olivia Wages Adoption

Our initial expenses were met mightily but we still have $6372 due in the upcoming months to submit our dossier to Ethiopia. Submitting our dossier means we will be placed on a waiting list for little Olivia! Current waiting times until referrel or receipts of her picture/info is 9-12 months. We have our first meeting with our home study worker next week and are so excited to get that big portion started. Hopefully we can submit our dossier in about 4 months and get on that waiting list. Then the 'official' pregnancy starts!

The breakdown of the money we have to send in to get our dossier to Ethiopia is:

** $2000 second portion of fees to agency for their work as a go-between and advisers

** $800 translation of all documents. The home study report will be 18-20some pages so I'm guessing this is probably worth translating all 50 pages or so of our dossier.

** $1000 refundable deposit, given back if we turn in all post adoption reports

** $150 courier fee

** $3750 first half of fee to Ethiopia. To pay for the baby's care, medical tests, lawyers, court, etc.

In addition, we haven't had any other 'lookers' on the house. We had devoted to putting it up for sale for 3 months and that time should be up around Jan. So we are a little hopeful that God is planning on meeting our needs in other ways so we don't HAVE to move. Your $5-$20 would help so much - it all adds up!!!

$4255!!! God is providing in a mighty way! Right now, we have some of our donations coming in in check form and have set up a special adoption savings account. I am waiting to receive a PayPal debit where I can pay adoption expenses straight from our Chip In account and then will be transferring the money over to add to the total you see. Until then, I had to just decrease the amount needed as I can't move the slider over. Thank you to all for your help and your prayers!!!

We are now waiting to hear from the social worker any day and hopefully, our contract for America World Adoption should get to VA tomorrow. So hoping to start the tedious paperwork process soon!
